Knik Construction

Knik Construction is a general heavy construction company specializing in remote-site projects in Alaska. Knik's accomplishments cover a range of projects involving housing, airport, road bridge, and dock construction in some of the most isolated locations imaginable.

knikboat2.jpg 15.8 KKnik Construction also specializes in site remediation. Knik's crews are trained to handle hazardous materials and can clean up a variety of sites to meet government specifications. For example, we remove, empty and dispose of abandoned underground tanks and return the environment to its natural state using thermal soil treatment.

Knik Construction works year-round in the arctic elements, carefully scheduling the best season and equipment for each phase of the project. Sometimes that means moving materials via waterways in summer and performing work in winter. Often, it means constructing ice roads to transport workers and equipment.

Our fleet of ocean-going and shallow-draft tugs, barges and landing craft offers effective materials and equipment transport to most any maritime destination, while our low-ground-pressure, off-road vehicles are engineered to carry heavy loads across tundra without damaging the environment.
